Hi friends..I want to wish everyone a Happy and Prosperous new year 2011.I made this Ganesha Frame with Quilling art.I will upload some more images of quilling soon.

Eggless Mango cake...soo soo yummyyy...

I am back with a beautiful recipe of egg less mango cake to share with you all. I found this recipe online in a blog and wanted to try and taste them. I used the recipe and prepared a mango cake for our anniversary and it came out very good. The other day I prepared them as cup cakes and everybody loved them.The first photo was a mango cake prepared for our 4th Marriage Anniversary with mango flavored butter-cream icing. So I wanted to share the recipe...:)

All measurements are with measuring cup and measuring spoons.

Pre heat the oven at 350F.

All purpose flour---- 1 1/2 cups

Baking powder--- 2 tsp(table spoon)
(if using baking soda i use only 1 1/4 tsp)

salt--- 1/2 tsp

cardamom powder--- 1tsp

granulated sugar---2/3 cups

mango puree-- 1 1/2 cups

canola oil--- 1/3 cups

vanilla --- 1 tsp

Mix all the dry ingredients, then add the wet ingredients and mix them till there are no lumps.

pour into pan and bake for 20-- 27 mins until toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Take it off from oven and allow it to cool for 10mins and enjoy the cupcakes...

Started Learning and creating Quilling items.

Quilling or paper filigree is an art that uses strips of paper that are rolled, shaped and glued together to create decorative designs. The paper is wound around a quill to create a basic coil shape. The paper is glued at the tip and then coil shaped. These shaped coils are arranged to form flowers, leaves and various ornamental patterns similar to iron work. We can use quilled art work for decorations in crafts. I am enjoying learning this art work. This time for Saranya's 7th month birthday planning to make quill decorations. Soon I will update with procedure to make quill items
