Cakes I prepared...

These are the cakes I prepared by learning to decorate them.The first cake decorated is for Feb 14th 2010.Some cakes made for my daughter Saranya's monthly Birthdays.

The above cake is my first cake I decorated .The cake i made is a Vanilla Flavor Cake with Butter Cream Icing and topped with Chocolate Flower, Chocolate Butter Icing borders and Grated Hershleys chocolate

This is the cake made for my daughter's 5th month B'Day.This is a homemade cake using All purpose flour, butter and sugar and Whipping cream decorated on the top.

This cake is made for 10th month B'Day.This is a Vanilla flavored homemade cake and whipping cream on the top.I tried to make a strawberry shape for this time.

This cake is made for my Husband's B'day.It is surprise for him.I made this cake using a cake mix with vanilla flavor and Whipping cream on top.

This cake is made for Our 4th  anniversary .This is a egg less mango cake with mango flavored Butter cream icing on top.I have this cake recipe in my blog .

I made this cake for my daughter's 1st B'day.This is a chocolate cake with whipping cream on top.

These two cakes made for new year.For the first time I tried pastry cake with Sugar syrup in the cake.This is an yellow cake with vanilla flavor and whipping cream on top...

New Year 2011 party and cake

We celebrated 2011 New Year eve party with our friends. I prepared this Indian Style Vanilla pastry cake with whipped cream frosting. I made this pastry cake for the first time and it got out very nice. Everyone liked it a lot and I am happy too. I am still trying to learn decorating cakes.

Eggless Mango cake...soo soo yummyyy...

I am back with a beautiful recipe of egg less mango cake to share with you all. I found this recipe online in a blog and wanted to try and taste them. I used the recipe and prepared a mango cake for our anniversary and it came out very good. The other day I prepared them as cup cakes and everybody loved them.The first photo was a mango cake prepared for our 4th Marriage Anniversary with mango flavored butter-cream icing. So I wanted to share the recipe...:)

All measurements are with measuring cup and measuring spoons.

Pre heat the oven at 350F.

All purpose flour---- 1 1/2 cups

Baking powder--- 2 tsp(table spoon)
(if using baking soda i use only 1 1/4 tsp)

salt--- 1/2 tsp

cardamom powder--- 1tsp

granulated sugar---2/3 cups

mango puree-- 1 1/2 cups

canola oil--- 1/3 cups

vanilla --- 1 tsp

Mix all the dry ingredients, then add the wet ingredients and mix them till there are no lumps.

pour into pan and bake for 20-- 27 mins until toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Take it off from oven and allow it to cool for 10mins and enjoy the cupcakes...

Started Learning and creating Quilling items.

Quilling or paper filigree is an art that uses strips of paper that are rolled, shaped and glued together to create decorative designs. The paper is wound around a quill to create a basic coil shape. The paper is glued at the tip and then coil shaped. These shaped coils are arranged to form flowers, leaves and various ornamental patterns similar to iron work. We can use quilled art work for decorations in crafts. I am enjoying learning this art work. This time for Saranya's 7th month birthday planning to make quill decorations. Soon I will update with procedure to make quill items

Our sweet and cute daughter's name is Devi Saranya.She is 6 months old now.She is everything for us.
